Family:  All of my family lifts, but my sister and I are the only ones competing right now.

Best Lifts:
" 363 squat; 213 bench; 403.5 deadlift; Years competing: About 7. My first meet was the day I turned 14. "

Sports prior to powerlifting:
" Gymnastics, Soccer, and Karate. "

Favorite foods:
" I like red salmon a lot...and it’s good diet food.:) "

Favorite foods if not dieting:
" Right across the street from my house is a place that makes the best onion rings ever!!!"

Hobbies and interests outside of powerlifting:
" I really like writing poems and short stories. I am in the process of trying to write a children’s book. "

If given an afternoon or entire evening to yourself, you would most likely do what:
" I would probably work on my writing and listen to some music. "

Do you collect anything?
" I collect figures of different Gods from some of the countries I have been to. "

Last book you read:
" The last book I read was "The Davinci Code", which I recommend everyone read. "

Favorite musical artists:
" I am pretty partial to Norah Jones right now. "

If stranded on an island, what book/magazine, cd, food & drink would you want?
" I would have my copy of Descartes’ "Meditations", Norah Jones "Come Away With Me", and Everclear "Sparkle and Fade" "

People would never guess this about you:
" I really like philosophy. "

Something else people would never guess about you:
" I know how to crochet, and am currently working on a HUGE blanket for my bed. "

If queen for a day you would do what differently:
" I would make sure that every school taught philosophy and the arts. "

Most impressive feat of strength you have ever seen:
" I think the youth division lifters are the most impressive. Those are some strong little kids!! "

Who has had the most impact on your career:
" My dad has had the most impact on my lifting career. He had been my literal and figurative swift kick in the butt. My boyfriend has also had a huge impact on my lifting in the last couple of years. He has done a lot to get me motivated when I feel like giving up. "

The defining moment that made you realize you wanted to compete:
" I don’t think I had one defining moment that I knew I wanted to lift. It was just something that was done in my family. Some families go on camping trips, we went to the gym. "
