The 2010 Mid America Benchpress, Deadlift and 2 Man-Deadlift was held on July 31st in Granite City, IL. The event was a huge success and allowed a chance for lifters to stay sharp between meets.
There were a few new faces as well as some of the regulars who came out to push and pull as much as they could. Joey Lawson took top honors in the benchpress, while Chad Holmes showed he still had it in the deadlift. In the 2-Man Deadlift, the team of Bill McDonough and Colin upset the apple cart by knocking off Matt Schamburg and Jim Bell. The McDonoughs pulled 1,043, while the lighter team of Jim & Matt just narrowly missed it. These guys put on quite a show and it went right down to the final pulls.

The event will be at the Rivers Edge Reception Hall in GRanite City, IL. For those unfamiliar with where this is at, be sure to look over the directions. It is located on a former Amry base that is 800+ acres lage and thus, I'm not sure if any of the mapping websites will get you to exactly where you want to be.
