2011 Womens Nationals Roster
On Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 4:00 - 5:00pm in the championship venue, there will be an early equipment check for Friday Lifters ONLY – Weight classes to include: 97, 105 and 114. Thank you.
On Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM, the shuttle bus will depart from the Sheraton Hotel – Airport to the competition venue at the Sheraton Hotel – Downtown Atlanta. These will be only one trip made from the Sheraton Hotel – Airport and lifter will not be returned. Lifters and spectators staying in Atlanta on Thursday night for the upcoming Womens Nationals, please read: Just off of the phone with Womens Nationals Event Director Greg Jones, who is currently traveling through Rochester, NY.
For anyone originally staying at the meet venue on Thursday night, the hotel, along with nearly every other hotel in Atlanta, has been fully booked by a Microsoft convention. Thousands of rooms have been consumed for the week leading up to the Womens Nationals.
For Thursday and only Thursday, lifters will have to stay at the Airport Sheraton, and will be shuttled to the meet venue on Friday morning once they are ready to come to the meet hotel. Rooms will for sure be available on Friday.
This will not affect the lifting, or rooms for Friday and beyond, only those who are staying on Thursday.
Note:
Microsoft has agreed to release a certain number of unused rooms, 30 days prior to the event. The meet hotel has agreed to give them to the Womens Nationals lifters & spectators, but the exact amount of rooms is unknown. There is a chance that Friday lifters still could stay at the meet hotel for Thursday night.
