USA Powerlifting was formed in 1981 by Brother Bennett out of the need for drug testing in the sport of powerlifting. Operating as the American Drug Free Powerlifting Association and based in Bay St. Louis, MS where Bennett was from, The ADFPA grew like wildfire.
