Long before high tech powerlifting equipment there was a man from St. Louis who was the epitome of old school iron slinging and hardcore, honest to god, training. His name was Wally Strosnider. Wally, who died in 2003, was very well known for his ability to do high reps. A St. Louis lifting fixture for decades, Wally was the king when it came to doing high reps. On Feb. 24th, everyone will have a chance to try this old school lift at Pat Rankin's God, Guys and Guts Strongman Challenge.
Rankin will be holding an event called "God, Guys and Guts" on Feb. 24th to benefit his Have Bible Will Travel Ministries. Part of the festivities will be a tribute to Wally, with a High Rep Bench contest with bodyweight.
